Pledge Payment Process



As of Fall 2019, all pledge and lifetime membership fees should be paid directly to the chapter. The total fee for both is $320, which includes $50 non-refundable pledge fee and $20 Risk Management surcharge and a $170 refundable lifetime membership fee, with a $80 Risk Management surcharge. The Pledge Fee and surcharge should be paid immediately following the pledging ceremony. The Lifetime Membership fee and surcharge must be submitted at least two weeks before the initiation ceremony. Pledges may pay the entire $320 at once, but can also set up a payment plan, paying $205 ($50 pledge fee, $20 Risk Management surcharge immediately after the pledging ceremony, and the first $135 installment of the plan at least two weeks before initiation), with the second installment of $135 being due within 6 months of initiation. 

Once all fees have been received, the chapter will then pay the total amount for the entire pledge class to the National Office. 

Fees paid by the chapter are still due at least two weeks before the initiation. Member badges will be mailed to the address provided on the pledge confirmation report when all fees are paid and may not arrive in time for the ceremony if all payments are made less than two weeks in advance.

Chapters should not initiate pledges unless they have payment of the entire $320 fee or the first installment payment of $205 ($50 pledge fee, $20 Risk Management surcharge, and the first $135 installment of the installment plan).
