Harassment occurs when a community user targets another individual to cause distress, embarrassment, unwanted attention, or other personal discomfort. We do not condone harassment in any form. While you may disagree with someone's point of view, personal attacks or attacks based on a person's race, national origin, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disablement or other such affiliation are prohibited. If you have a disagreement with someone's point of view, address the subject, not the person.
Do not post harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar or obscene content about individuals. This includes posting e-mail addresses, street addresses, or phone numbers of individuals.
The community is composed of many different types of people. The use of vulgar or abusive language, even if masked by symbols or other characters, or engaging in other impermissible behavior may result in the user being banned from this site.
Sexually explicit images
Alpha Chi Sigma prohibits the transfer or posting of sexually explicit images or other content deemed offensive by Alpha Chi Sigma. Your access may be terminated immediately, and you may be subject to civil liability and/or investigation and prosecution by law enforcement.
This can involve portraying another person, such as employees or representatives of Alpha Chi Sigma. Users must avoid portraying employees or officers in all forms of online communication, including, but not limited to, user names, user profiles, voice, text or graphic chat, and message postings.
Chain letters and pyramid or money schemes
Transmitting chain letters and pyramid schemes of any kind is not allowed in the community forums. These materials are considered a nuisance by many users, and certain chain letters and pyramid schemes may be illegal. Users who create posts for commercial purposes or make posts that are designed to generate money for themselves or others are subject to being banned.
Your access to the community forums may be revoked for posting frequent and/or annoying messages in the forums. An example is posting the same message to multiple forums. If repeated spamming occurs, we reserve the right to delete your posts and ban you from this site, without prior warning, at the sole discretion of Alpha Chi Sigma. All decisions regarding any violations of these guidelines are final.
These guidelines shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. Those who choose to access the forums from other locations do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws, if and to the extent local laws are applicable. If any provision of this agreement shall be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this agreement and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. Alpha Chi Sigma may change these guidelines at any time and in its sole discretion. It is your responsibility to understand the guidelines currently in force and to conduct yourself in accordance therewith.
