For more than 20 years, I had not lived within a two-hour drive of any collegiate or professional chapter nor professional group, so I can definitely identify with those Brothers who live some distance apart geographically from Alpha Chi Sigma.  I have tried to bring my professional experience with a major global corporation and government agencies, as well as experience with multiple professional organizations, into the mix of the existing fraternal leadership.

No one leadership style fits in all leadership opportunities.  Successful leadership requires a distinct combination of skills depending upon the differing situations you are in at the time.  Recognizing the strengths and weaknesses of each member will enhance your group's chance to succeed at its mission.

With our Fraternity being a volunteer organization, there really isn't any competition between Brothers.  We want everyone to succeed so that the Fraternity can further its mission.  The Fraternity's leadership and active membership want to be helpful to your endeavors.  Just seven months after becoming a Professional Representative, I was the chair of the Conclave Constitution and Bylaws committee.  Although I had attended eight prior Conclaves, this was my first Conclave as a voting member.  Thankfully, the Supreme Council and Order of Altotus members were around to answer my plentiful questions about responsibilities and procedures so I could lead my committee in fulfilling its obligation to the Grand Chapter.
