Alpha Chi Sigma 56th Biennial Conclave

Alpha Chi Sigma is excited to announce the 56th Biennial Conclave is scheduled for July 11-15, 2022 on the campus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia.

The 56th Biennial Conclave will include sessions for attendees covering the Three Objects of Alpha Chi Sigma. Forums and sessions are planned on topics such as career and professional advancement, leadership, and fraternal involvement. In addition, plenty of opportunities to network and bond with your Brothers in Alpha Chi Sigma will be available.

The Alpha Chi Sigma Conclave is fun, informative, and an experience that should not be missed.

Information about how to register and a tentative schedule will be sent out soon. Keep an eye out for communications from Alpha Chi Sigma so you don't miss out on the chance to attend.

Due to the ongoing effects of COVID-19, Alpha Chi Sigma strongly suggests that non-refundable travel arrangements should NOT be made prior to May 1, 2022. While July 11-15, 2022 are the confirmed dates for Conclave, the exact schedule and plan is subject to change.

Delegate Election Form

Please complete your Delegate Election Form online by May 1, 2022. This form will ideally be completed by your Master Alchemist or Pro President. Once you have submitted the form, you will receive an email confirmation. Once your form has been submitted, and we have finalized online Conclave registration, you will receive a link by email to register your Delegate for Conclave.

Note:

Conclave attendees should plan to fly into Roanoke-Blacksburg regional airport.  This is the nearest major airport to Virginia Tech.  It is recommended that attendees arrive at the airport between 6am and 6pm in order to utilize the preferred method of transportation between the airport and Virginia Tech - the Smartway bus. Any delegates that cannot arrive in this time frame must contact the national office to request alternatives.  We will help coordinate travel between the airport and Virginia Tech for all attendees as needed.

In addition, Conference services has informed us that rooms are available Sunday night for Sunday arrivals as well, this will incur an additional cost for non-delegates and must be coordinated with the National Office.

As with any planning done these days, this is subject to change.  Attendees will be notified of any changes as soon as we become aware that the changes are necessary.

Recommended travel methods to get to Blacksburg, VA.

Delegates, you will receive travel instructions from the National Office after we receive your delegate election forms. Delegate air travel is through Roanoke/Blacksburg regional airport (ROA).

For non-delegates, the nearest airport is Roanoke / Blacksburg regional airport (ROA). Flights into ROA can be quite expensive so if your travel time is flexible you may want to look into flying into alternate airports. Nearby airports are Charlotte (CLT) 2.5 hr away, Richmond (RIC) 3.6 hr away, Raleigh-Durham (RDU) 3.5 hr away, Washington Dulles (IAD) 4 hr away. As you can see from the travel times you will need to rent a car or arrange other transportation.

Many brothers are traveling near or through these areas so there may be opportunities to carpool. If you are interested in using a carpool or willing to drive a carpool from one of these airports please contact volunteer coordinator Helen Webster.
