Alcohol Awareness Training Policy

We care about the health and safety of our Brothers, and continuing education about the effects and risks of alcohol is one way we can help your chapter members have a safe school year.

Each academic year, all of your chapter’s members and current pledges are expected to complete alcohol awareness training. Each school with an Alpha Chi Sigma chapter provides free group alcohol awareness training to its students. Contact your university's Health and Wellness Center or Student Services for the free training. These instructors have valuable knowledge of state, local and university regulations that may apply to your chapter. To get the most out of the program, please give our Health and Safety policy to the program coordinator when scheduling your chapter's training. Contact the National Office if you have difficulty finding or scheduling your training. 

Members who attend group training should sign the sign-in sheet. The training instructor or chapter advisor should sign the sign-in sheet for the chapter, verifying that all of the people listed on the sheet completed the training. Return the completed sign-in sheet to the National Office by May 15.

Alcohol awareness training is a requirement for the Star Chapter Awards.
